ROONEY, POGBA IMPRESS IN UNITED’S 3-1 WIN

A 3-1 win over Swansea City recently at the Liberty stadium was enough to ensure that Manchester got back into the Premier League title race on a fresh start after coming off with just one win in six league matches

The Red Devils got the necessary boost after the news of how North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham ended up in a 1-1 draw, with both team thus failing to advance up the League table.

Manchester saw their chance and made sure to walk away from the match against Swansea with all three points. The match featured the likes of Wayne Rooney, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Top on the list were Rooney and Pogba as the English man provided two assists to Ibrahimovic to ensure the 3-1 victory while Pogba opened the scoring with the first goal of the match.

Rooney, who had for the last six weeks been confined to just Europa matches, after his last Premier League match against Watford where they lost 3-1, was at his best performance against the Swans, having a hand in Pogba's first goal and setting up a second for Ibrahimovic.

He was also able to slip through another pass that saw the Swede bag his second goal for Jose Mourinho's side. The English man who has reiterated his desire to remain at United despite the current challenges he faces must have left a positive impression on Mourinho with his top class performance.

Pogba was not left out in the display as he also showed off an excellent performance, playing with an impressive freedom which saw him open up the scoring for his side. The Frenchman who was waiting at the edge of the box, received the ball and curled through a fierce shot that went past Fabianski into the Swans net.
