MANCHESTER UNITED NEED A MIRACLE AT CAMP NOU

Manchester United Quarterfinal clash at Barcelona on Tuesday promises to be a classic as the tie is poisely balanced. Despite Barcelona getting a good victory at Old Trafford last week, United go into the clash with hope following their heroics at PSG in the round of 16.

However, Barcelona is a different team to the Parisians who lacked self-belief and were without injured stars Neymar and Cavani. The Catalan outfit have a fully fit team to choose from and have Lionel Messi who can come up with magic when needed.

It would take a disciplined performance from United if they are to make the most of the fixture. Firstly, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have to settle for a sturdy line up and could go for the back three that worked well at Old Trafford. David De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and would have his moments.

While a back three of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof would provide a mix of speed, strength and Aerial ability. Portuguese youngster DiogoDalot could shuffle at left wing back with Ashley Young featuring at right wing back.

“The midfield war is the most important and United have to stifle their opponent while providing an enabling environment" for Paul Pogba to shine. Fred and NemanjaMatic would be a good foil alongside Scot McTominay who impressed in the first leg and was rested for “the Premier League win“ at the Weekend.

Upfront United could start with Rashford and Lukaku in a front two as they look to catch Barcelona on the counter. Lukaku would have to have one of those nights like in Paris while Marcus Rashford needs to prove that he can become the golden boy United have sought after since the exit of Wayne Rooney.
