Rooney wants Revenge
In 2002, Arsenal won the Premier League title at Old Trafford giving their fans endless joy for banter and chants whenever the Gunners face their Manchester United counterparts.
Such songs give great displeasure to English powerhouse forward Wayne Rooney, who is hoping to seek vengeance this Saturday lunch-time, when United take on the north Londoners at home. A draw would be enough to secure an 18th title for the Mancunian side.
"One point will win the title for us," Rooney is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying. "Hopefully that can come on Saturday. It would be brilliant to do it in front of our own fans and brilliant to win it against Arsenal, who are a great footballing team.
"When they come to Old Trafford you always hear them singing about winning the title at Old Trafford, so it would be nice to win against them. That would be special."
He continued, "We want to do it in front of our own fans, I think the manager's said we've only done that once in 17 years.
"To win it three years on the run would also be amazing."
